Ellen DeGeneres is a very famous person who made us all laugh and feel good on her show "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" for many years. She is known for being very kind and always ready to dance. The first watch I'd like to talk about is the Rolex GMT-Master II 'Pepsi' Ref. 126710BLRO. This stainless steel watch, with a jubilee bracelet, came out in 2018. Collectors call it the 'Pepsi' because its blue and red bezel is the same colors as the Pepsi-Cola logo.

Current market price (Dec 2023): ~$22,000.

Another Rolex in Ellen DeGeneres' collection is the GMT-Master II 116718ln-0002, launched in 2005. It boasts a yellow gold case with a black ceramic bezel and a green dial. Although discontinued in 2019, Rolex often pairs green dials with yellow gold cases and bracelets, a popular example being the "John Mayer" Daytona. However, the Daytona features a sunburst green dial, unlike the matte one on the GMT.

Similar to Argentine footballer Lionel Messi, Ellen DeGeneres has been seen wearing the Rolex Yacht-Master 40 Ref. M126655. 

This Yacht-Master model stands out in the Rolex lineup with its matte black, graduated cerachrom bezel, a feature unique to this model. It's also exclusively paired with a rubber Oysterflex bracelet. The combination of the bezel and rubber strap lends the Yacht-Master a sporty look and feel. Notably, it's only available in precious metals - yellow gold, white gold, and rose gold - adding a touch of luxury to its sporty design.

Ellen owns a highly prized and rare "Paul Newman" Daytona Ref. 6241 just like Sylvester Stallone. This model, with only about 2,700 units made from 1965 to 1969, becomes even more exceptional with the "Paul Newman" dial. Its scarcity and collector's value are reflected in its last known market price, which was approximately $575,000.

Speaking of Rolex watches with a Paul Newman Dial, the Daytona 6239, worn by Paul Newman himself, fetched a staggering $17.8 million at a New York auction house in 2017. This sale positions it as the second most expensive watch ever sold at an auction

Ellen DeGeneres also owns Patek Philippe Nautilus watches, including the 5711/1A-011 with a white dial, often referred to as the 'Piano Dial'. 

Debuted at BaselWorld 2012, this model stands out as a cool alternative to the more traditional 5711/1A-010. Its standout feature is the polar dial with contrasting black markers and hands, offering a distinctly different look from its sibling.

Every time I look at this watch, it reminds me of David Beckham's son, Brooklyn because he was spotted wearing this watch at The Late Late Show with James Corden. 

The solid rose gold jumbo Nautilus 5711/1R-001 is one of the world's most desirable wristwatches and also one of the best looking! The 5711 is simply breathtaking in warm 18ct rose gold. 

 The brown embossed dial gradually darkens as it reaches the luminous batons. The result is quite mesmerizing.

Current market price (Dec 2023): ~$190,000.

Ellen DeGeneres is known for wearing the iconic stainless steel Patek Philippe Nautilus Ref. 5711 with a blue dial, a model that has gained fame since its introduction by designer Gerald Genta in 1976. As one of the most coveted steel sport watches, the blue 5711 was discontinued in 2019, followed by the discontinuation of all steel 5711s after limited editions with green and Tiffany Blue dials were released. Even before its discontinuation, collectors often faced a wait of up to 10 years to purchase the 5711 at retail, highlighting its extraordinary demand and exclusivity.

Ellen DeGeneres' watch collection includes the exquisite platinum Patek Philippe Grand Complications 5271P.
