Discover Maroon 5 Adam Levine Watch Collection

comments

Adam Levine, the celebrated lead singer of Maroon 5, is much more than just a musical sensation. Apart from his incredible vocal talent, he has an impressive knack for collecting standout watches just like his fellow musician John Mayer and Ed Sheeran

Adam Levine watch collection beautifully marries contemporary designs with vintage classics, showcasing his eclectic and refined taste.

In August 2023, Adam made waves in the watch community by unveiling a customized Daytona, a collaboration with the Artisans De Geneve titled the 'Neon' project. This piece, with its unique design and impeccable craftsmanship, is genuinely breathtaking and stands as a shining example of what happens when art meets horology. Seriously, I rate that one 20 out of 10 (LOL!).

His fondness doesn't stop at modern creations, though. Adam has a soft spot for vintage watches. These age-old timepieces, steeped in history and elegance, occupy a cherished space in his collection. For him, it's not merely about having a watch; it's about cherishing the story behind it and wearing it as a badge of honor.

In mid-August 2023, he teamed up with Artisans De Geneve to give a personal touch to his Daytona. Dubbed the 'Neon' project for Adam Levine, this exclusive design boasts a skeleton movement and luminescent features on the dial, bezel, and hands, ensuring it glows both day and night.

Adam shares, “A watch is the embodiment of all your achievements. It’s a very personal object. I like classic watches, but I also want mine to be unique: it was very important for me to have something that resembles me, a unique piece that stands out from all the others. I wanted to give my Daytona® 116508, a little something extra. Personalizing my watch with Artisans de Genève went just as I had imagined. There were many exchanges to refine the aesthetics down to the smallest detail. To be close to a workshop and to all these craftsmen so devoted to materializing every one of my ideas remains an unforgettable memory.”

Regarded as one of the most vibrant and playful modern watches, the Rolex Daytona Rainbow is available in rose (116595RBOW), yellow (116598RBOW), and white gold (116599RBOW). The yellow and white gold versions debuted in 2012, with the rose gold appearing in 2018.

The rose gold variant boasts 47 sapphires: 36 on the bezel and 11 as hour markers. Meanwhile, the other two versions feature 36 bezel sapphires and eight diamond hour markers.

All models are adorned with 56 diamonds on the lugs and crown guards. The sub-dials glisten thanks to crystallization, showcasing their respective gold hues.

This one if one of my favorite Rolex watches - Rolex Daytona with a green dial 116508.

Launched in 2016 for Daytona's 50th anniversary, the Green Dial Rolex quickly became a collector's gem. Its nickname, 'John Mayer Daytona,' arose when John Mayer showcased it in a Hodinkee interview, though it's not officially tied to him. Despite Mayer's influence as a collector, this model isn't a tribute to him.

In 2023, Rolex's announcement at Watches and Wonders to discontinue this model led to a demand spike and value surge, making the "John Mayer Dial" an even more sought-after piece in watch history.

Market price: ~$135,000/

This is also one of my favorite Rolex watches! The platinum Daytona with an ice blue dial on an oyster bracelet.

And then we have the newly upgraded platinum Cosmograph Daytona with an ice-blue dial to commemorate the model's 60th anniversary. At first glance, it may appear as a little update, but there's more than meets the eye. Flip over the exclusively platinum timepiece to uncover its hidden gem: the brand-new Calibre 4131, proudly displayed beneath a see-through case back, ready for admiration.

This beauty on Adam's wrist currently sells on the grey market for about $130,000.

Adam, as noted earlier, is a significant admirer of vintage Rolexes. He's been seen donning several vintage Daytonas, notably the "Paul Newman" Daytona Ref. 6240 with a white panda dial. It currently fetches around $500,000 on the secondary market.

Amazing piece on his wrist. He wears an extremely rare and vintage Rolex Daytona ‘Paul Newman’ in 14k yellow gold, named ‘John Player Special’ Daytona for the colors that reminds the JPS Lotus F1 car.

Produced between 1966 and 1969, reference 6241's total production amounts to roughly 3000 pieces, slightly less than 400 in 14k gold. Less than 10 examples in 14k gold with black Paul Newman dial have appeared at auction in the last 20 years.

Market price: ~$1,250,000.

In this picture, he wears rare and vintage Rolex Daytona 6263 in 18k yellow gold with champagne dial and black bezel.

The reference 6263 has been produced from 1971 to 1987 and it comes with screw-down pushers, this is undoubtedly one of the most famous and sought after Rolex Daytona.

Market price: ~$250,000.

Adam Levine Watch Collection - Rolex Day-Date 1803 Blue Stella Dial

Adam Levine Watch Collection - Rolex Day-Date 1803 Blue Stella Dial

I love this dial color! The watch we see on his wrist is another blast from the past: the Day-Date 1803 with a blue stella dial with white dial and diamond indices. While not many of these pieces are available for sale, recent sales on the secondary market seem to be around $60,000.

In the 1970s and 1980s, Rolex introduced colorful enamel dials called Stella dials. These bright dials were different from typical Rolex designs. 'Stella' was the company that provided the lacquer. These dials were mainly for the Middle East and Asia, but some reached other places. Funny enough, they weren't popular back then, and many got lost or destroyed. That's why finding a good Stella dial today is rare.

The senior actor Sylvester Stallone also has a Day-Date with a blue stella dial, but his model is in yellow gold.
