British Royal Family Watches - When it comes to timekeeping, the British royals know how to do it in style. That is most likely unsurprising because we are talking about the Royal Family that Forbes reported as holding nearly $28 billion in real estate assets as of 2021, which cannot be sold. That includes The $19.5 billion Crown Estate and $4.9 billion Buckingham Palace.

Given that they have an entourage who oversees every minute of their day, we may reasonably assume that they wear watches as statement fashion pieces rather than useful components. Here’s a look at some of the most favored timepieces among the British Royals.

Thursday, 8 September 2022 marked a sad day for the British Royal Family, as Queen Elizabeth II, the country's longest-reigning queen, died at the age of 96 at Balmoral Castle, her home in Scotland.

Her Majesty's personal assets from her 70 years on the throne total over $500 million, which Prince Charles will inherit when he is crowned king.

The late 96 year-young Queen has been collecting luxury watches, from Patek Philippe, and Audemars Piguet to Omega. In the picture, she was seen wearing an extremely rare 20mm yellow gold Patek Philippe Ladies Calatrava with a quartz movement on fascinating beads of rice bracelet. The price is unknown. The Queen Consort seems inseparabale from her Cartier watch, which she wears daily. Her watch is Cartier Tank Francaise Midsize Yellow Gold with a black strap. 

Princess Diana, who died in a car accident in Paris in 1997 while attempting to evade the paparazzi, was frequently seen wearing an oval faced vintage 21mm Patek Philippe in 18k yellow gold with a champagne dial.

Prince William was seen wearing his only old Omega Seamaster Quartz 300m mid-size with a blue dial and steel case. For over a decade now, Prince William has been wearing the watch, which was given to him by his mother, the late Princess Diana. 

Fitted with a blue dial and powered by a quartz movement, it is rumored that the watch was given to Prince William when he was young, and that it has been his go-to timepiece ever since.

Prince William is now the heir to the throne. He and his wife will be known and remain as The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and Cambridge until King Charles III bestows the titles the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, is the younger son of Prince Charles and Princess Diana, as well as Prince William's younger brother. He is currently sixth in line to the British throne (albeit he and his wife, Meghan Markle, have stepped back from their responsibilities in the British Royal Family).

Duchess of Cornwall and Cambridge, Catherine Middleton, owns a 33m silver-coloured stainless steel Cartier Ballon Bleu W6920071 that she wears very often, for example, during the trophy presentation for the Men’s Singles Final match on day fourteen of The Championships Wimbledon 2022 at All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club on 10 July 2022 in London, England.

The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, is a former actress who became a member of the British Royal Family after marrying Prince Harry. The Royal Family, including Harry and Meghan, has been mired in some controversy in recent years, leading to Meghan and Harry's decision to step down from active roles in the Royal Family.

The Duchess of Sussex is now the fortunate owner of one of Princess Diana's favorite pieces of jewelry: two-tone Cartier Tank Française.
