Discover Lunar One Moonlight Platinum a novelty to be presented on Baselworld by L.U.CHOPARD
The L.U.Chopard models has since their creation got us used to an extreme level of craftsmanship and to a well worked visual organization when it comes to dials, sub-dials, moon phase, and calendars.
The upcoming Lunar One Moonlight in platinum has to be one of my favorites, and it even makes me pay more attention to the brand itself.
Due to my reasonably high admiration for moon phase calendars that nowadays are created with micro laser creation (to a more precise look and finishing) this new Lunar One has taken a higher place on my list of beloved watches.
The only problem if it really is a problem is its only limited to 100 pieces.
And this is totally understandable, the Lunar One comes with a case made entirely of 950 platinum that perfectly combines with the royal blue multi-leveled dials
The most important visual aspect in my opinion
For a blue dial lover like myself, it’s almost impossible not to be completely jaw dropped by this amazing royal blue with sun-ray pattern that seems almost to give life to the watch.
But if you look closer to the dial you will find that the origin of this sun-ray pattern comes from the position of the L.U. CHOPARD logo. What a cool surprise right?
Another unusual aspect that I’ve started to like among the Lunar One models is their font, for a designer like me the roman numerals are perfectly fitted to the rounded sub dials and complement the overall design giving it a smooth and classy look.
When it comes to its 43 mm of total diameter I can say that I would use it, I’m a person of habits, like we all end up being, and my habits incorporate using 38-40 mm max diameter watches. But due to its extremely well made and polished lugs and case you can’t almost notice it’s a 43 mm.
The new Lunar One holds the 96.13 L caliber, its moon phase complication is not merely a disc rotating beneath the dial, but instead a complex set of components indicating the exact appearance of the moon. This orbital moon imitates the path of the evening star.
And you don’t even have to be worried about delays, mostly because it will take 122 years to accumulate a one-day time lag compared with the actual moon.
Its equipped with a micro rotor made of solid 22-carat gold and allows the thickness of the movement to be slimmer, more precisely 6.00 mm in thickness.
The L.U.CHOPARD LUNAR ONE is yes another one of their timepieces that constantly proves to be their very best of Haute Horlogerie. A high-precision astronomical and chronometrical movement.
